Invisalign® & Angel Aligner™
We offer two clear aligner systems, giving Dr. Curtis more options when planning treatment around your individual smile.
Invisalign® uses a series of custom, removable aligners to gradually move your teeth according to your treatment plan. Invisalign treatment is available for kids, teens, and adults.
Angel Aligner™ also offers custom clear aligner treatment for patients of all ages, including options designed for developing smiles.
You don’t need to decide which brand you want before your consultation. Dr. Curtis will evaluate your teeth, bite, and treatment goals and recommend the approach that makes the most sense for you.
Are Clear Aligners Right for Me?
Clear aligners can treat many common orthodontic concerns, including:
- Crowded or overlapping teeth
- Gaps and spacing
- Overbites
- Underbites
- Crossbites
- Open bites
- Teeth that have shifted after previous orthodontic treatment
But clear aligners aren’t automatically the right choice for every smile.
During your complimentary consultation, Dr. Curtis will take a close look at your teeth and bite, explain your options, and help you understand whether clear aligners or braces would be the better approach for you.
How Do Clear Aligners Work?
Start with a digital smile scan.
We’ll capture detailed images of your teeth without traditional impressions and use them to help plan your treatment.
Receive your custom aligners.
Your aligners are created specifically for your smile and designed to move your teeth gradually according to Dr. Curtis’s treatment plan.
Wear your aligners as directed.
You’ll wear each set according to your personalized schedule, removing your aligners to eat, brush, and floss.
Keep your smile on track.
Dr. Curtis will monitor your progress throughout treatment and make sure your teeth are moving as planned.
For patients away at college or on TDY/TAD, virtual visits can also make it easier to stay connected with our team when an in-office appointment isn’t necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions About Clear Aligners
Do you offer Invisalign® in Fort Walton Beach?
Yes. Bayer & Curtis Orthodontics offers Invisalign® treatment for kids, teens, and adults in Fort Walton Beach.
We also offer Angel Aligner™, giving Dr. Curtis multiple clear aligner options when planning treatment for your individual smile.
What's the difference between Invisalign® and Angel Aligner™?
Both Invisalign® and Angel Aligner™ use a series of custom, removable aligners to gradually move your teeth.
The systems differ in their materials, features, and treatment options. Rather than expecting you to choose a brand yourself, Dr. Curtis will evaluate your smile and explain which options are appropriate for your orthodontic needs.
How do I clean my clear aligners?
We recommend rinsing your aligners each time you remove them. In the morning and evening, gently brush them using a soft toothbrush, clear mild soap, and lukewarm water.
Always use lukewarm water; hot water can warp the plastic.
For a deeper clean, you can soak your aligners a few times a week using a product such as Invisalign® Cleaning Crystals or another aligner-cleaning solution.
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
Treatment time varies depending on your orthodontic needs and how consistently the aligners are worn.
Many patients complete full treatment in 12 to 24 months, though some cases may be shorter and others may take longer.
During your complimentary consultation, we’ll evaluate your smile, discuss your goals, and provide a personalized estimate of your expected treatment timeline.
Are braces or clear aligners better for me?
Neither option is automatically better. It depends on your smile and what you want from treatment.
Clear aligners offer the convenience of a removable, discreet appliance, while braces can be an excellent choice for patients who prefer a fixed treatment or whose orthodontic needs are better suited to braces.
Dr. Curtis will explain the advantages of each option and recommend what makes the most sense for your smile.
Will clear aligners affect what I can eat?
Clear aligners don’t have the same food restrictions as braces because you remove them before eating.
You’ll take your aligners out for meals and snacks, then clean your teeth before putting them back in whenever possible. This means you can continue enjoying your favorite foods throughout treatment.
How many hours a day do I need to wear clear aligners?
Clear aligners need to be worn consistently to move your teeth according to plan. Your exact wear instructions will depend on your treatment plan and aligner system.
Dr. Curtis will explain how long to wear your aligners each day and when to switch to your next set.
Can I do clear aligner appointments virtually?
Some appointments may be completed virtually when appropriate.
This can be especially helpful for college students and military families navigating TDY/TAD. Dr. Curtis will let you know when a virtual check-in is appropriate and when she needs to see you in the office.
